People usually change the environment to make their lives easier. That is usually in a short run or good only for the human side though. For example when people domesticated animals. Domesticated animals are much more useful to humans than wild ones are. They have more meat, wool, milk etc. Domesticated animals are also easier to tame as they grow up in an environment that is controlled by humans. The problem is that these animals usually can't survive by themselves anymore so they depend on us. This is in a way good for us but it is surely not good for the animals. Also a common change to the environment that we humans make is deforestation. Deforestation has its benefits of course. It gets us timber, free space, paper and more. It gives us space to build on and material to build from. But there are bad things about it too. Some of the most well-known ones are that trees create oxygen so when we are killing trees, we are slowly killing ourselves too. Also, rain forests are some of the richest places in abstract plants and animals.
