How the Development of Language Helped Humans

The earliest hominins communicated in the same way as other animals, using growls and possibly simple gestures using their bodies. These could be used mostly for the expression of feelings and needs but couldn't be used for actual dialogs as those require the development of language. As the hominins slowly evolved, their larynges slowly sinked down from their nasal cavities. This not only allowed them to breathe with their mouths, but more importantly, it together with the growth of the speaking area of the brain, allowed them to talk. The development of language allowed to communicate more thoroughly, therefore they could not only discuss things but could also plan in advance. This allowed them to make more efficient tools and plan their hunts to make them more efficient. With the invention of language, people could share their ideas and therefore could work as a group much better, because talking with each other is the beginning of creating a successful group.
